I am looking for a decent chess program to run on Windows that would allow me to disable the undo last move function. Basically, it is for my kids to learn and use, and disabling the undo is – or a version of chess that doesn’t have an undo – is important as they tend to find it easy to undo any move that turns out not to be in their favour.

Anyone know of such a version? I would appreciate a link.

    Thanks.

You might as well play Yahoo Games Chess with them and deny unmoves =P

Thank you both for the replies. I do play chess with them every now and then, and when I do I make sure that I don’t allow them to undo a move. However, there are many times when I can’t play with them, and the common chess games allow for undo which makes it easy for them to win, not learn, and not think ahead, plan etc.

Reshacker, if I disable the undo option, would they be able to activate it? As I will install the game on each one’s laptop and I will not be able to monitor what they do.

I really like Pawn 2. You can also try Chess Live.

The chess that I really like is Kasparov Chessmate ( free version for trying) and it has a nice Training Mode but you cannot disable the undo (just checked)... sorry

If they knew how to use ResHacker... But ResHacker does not work on every single program.
