    I need to update: https://www.reddit.com/r/ZephyrusG14/comments/ptwxkg/must_do_update_your_ryzen_chipset/

Can I install AMD PSP 10.0 Device driver 5.17.0.0 over 4.13.0.0 ...or is it too old?

I don't have AMD chipset driver listed in apps and features to uninstall and AMD guide states not to uninstall via device manager.

...I don't know/remember why I got where I am and am a little miffed that the one time I wanted auto updates to do what it should, it doesn't.

...also, am I missing a AMD SM bus driver ...or should I look somewhere specific to see if I'm missing a driver elsewhere?

says you have 5.12.0.38 installed in your first pic.
Personally never had a problem just overlap installing drivers....for at least 25 years now.
If you're missing a driver there will be a highlit apostrophe in device manager.

Sorry I made this confusing. The second pic is the driver is AMD PSP 10 driver current 4.13

The first pic is me looking in the wrong place and thinking I found another problem. On the bottom left of the first pic is for something called SMbus and in the middle on the bottom it's I don't have a driver for that.

If it's no problem to install over, I'll install the fix (first question) next time I start up my laptop.

Did you check with AMD support site before just following other site links to do what you did to be sure that is the right directions? You need to consult with your motherboard site to verify what can and can't be updated. What you read and what the board maker does are two different things. So if the board is DIY then you need to check the manufacture site to be sure on chipset software/driver update. And since we have no specs to what your referring to this doesn't tell anyone much to go on here.

You should be able to install it fine because i have installed 5.17.0.0 driver on my 4800H months ago without any issues.

Google "AMD Ryzen™ Chipset Driver" and get it from AMD directly.
