Chrome 7 has been released! Check your versions. I was pleasantly surprised earlier today.

Thanks also for the heads-up. I wonder though why IE8 or 9 does not get updates and version increments like Chrome (or for that matter other browsers).

Is this the stable version? Mine is 8.0x

Chrome 7 is the stable version.
-
Not many changes from v.6 to v.7
I was waiting for hardware acceleration, but that's been pushed back to v.8/9 -
I really do like the fast updates to Chrome. It really gives you a sense that the developer is really taking care of the software: adding features, squashing bugs, etc.
IE9 and FF4 have to be huge in order to really compete with Chrome. For me, it's the best browser by far. -

I guess Linux is on the back burner as the latest is v6.
-
My understanding is that Chrome 7 has been released to all 3 platforms.

Errrr.... the only problem I am having with Chrome is something quite annoying.
In fullscreen mode, is there a way to type a new URL in without getting out of fullscreen mode? -
-
Is it faster?
Should I uninstall my previous version and then install 7 or does it just upgrade? -
Just upgrading is fine.
-
Chrome has just about the easiest upgrade process of all the browsers.
-
It looks like mine automatically updated. Not sure how.
It runs blazing fast. -
When you install Google Chrome, an auto-updater is also installed to silently update the browser.
