GMail has been beta since it launched like almost 5 years ago.

I would like to know aswell. Chrome is OK, but it was forced onto me. I'd say it's never gonna be "FINAL" I mean look how many updates there are for Firefox!

    LOL :p

I love Chrome, but it's still a tad too buggy and quirky for me. I'm not waiting for a "final" post-beta version, but I'd love it if they'd fix out the simple bugs.

Google doesn't like to make any 'final dates' on any of their products.

But really, when you think about it...is an application/program ever "final"...they are always gonna be security updates, patches, add-ins etc. etc. especially w/ browsers...so I don't see the big fuss or talk about it being final.

I guess what I mean is... an "official" release.

But yeah, I like Chrome a lot, so I won't be waiting for a post-beta release.

Do you mean "not beta" when you say "official"? If they fix a few bugs and still call it beta, who cares?

    Yeah, I guess so.

It's just the principle of being "beta" as opposed to being "official." I know what I mean in my head. I apologize if I seem unclear.
