I just installed Google Chrome because FF has been getting on my nerves for a while. Anyways, it seems that Google Chrome messes with my volume. For example I went on chatroulette.com and was playing something via the Zune software. As I authorized Flash to access my webcam the volume of the playing music was lowered.

I tried it multiple times and it did the same thing each time. Only with Chrome. What's up and how can I stop this?

If you're running Windows 7, there's a setting that changes the volume of all other apps running if it detects things like Video and Conference calling. (I wonder if this setting was in Vista, too)

You can disable it by typing "Sound" in the start menu and open the sound control panel, go over to the Communications tab, and select the " Do Nothing" Box.

Although just about everything that would trigger this, and not just one browser or program, like Skype will change it whenever I'm called (same with Windows Live Messenger).
