Is there a way to get the old bookmark button back (beside the URL bar)?

    it had one?

i use that one since years. Never had a bookmark button for me.

    https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ajgmnekpakhkbnhehnpkminifbpmkghg

but actually, not much need for it anymore. i have the always open pages i use pinned to taskbar (google reader, facebook, gmail, imo.im, twitter), and the 8 most used pages show up, as well as the recent ones. the bookmarks, which i don't access very often anymore at all, get accessed trough the adressbar, by just typing in.

but i have that extension for the few cases where in possible need. hope it helps.
