My laptop is very hot now when I open Chrome I find nacl64.exe using a bunch of resources almost 50%. It started since the latest update. I uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome and it is still running in the background. I searched on Google which was a complete waste of time just giving me spam links that tell me nothing. I am going to uninstall Chrome my laptop is on fire. After deleting nacl64.exe Chrome is back to normal again.

I have no idea where this file came from but deleting it is the only solution.

I assume some extension is using Native Client and doing a bad job of it. Disabling extensions one by one until you find the culprit is the easiest fix.

This was caused by Chrome running in the background on my HP Split running Win 8.1
    To disable:
Go to Chrome Settings, Advanced Settings.
Scroll to bottom and UNCHECK "Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed"
