I have a disc copy of Windows 8 Professional, with no key. My computer (a Lenovo Y410P) came with Windows 8 Home. Is it possible to use the Windows key that my computer came installed with to install Windows 8 Professional? I'll be buying a SSD soon to replace the HDD my computer came with, and I'm opting for a clean install.

Also, I'll still be able to use secure boot if I replace the HDD, right?

No, the registration if UEFI bios is located there and you will only be able to instal 8 Home not 8 Pro you will have to buy a license to use Windows 8 Pro. M$ isn't going to give away a higher version of the O/S just so conveniently because you have a lower O/S version. And helping you with a Copy of Windows 8 I think borders very close to copyright violations with M$ agreements.

Ok, if I'm able to come by a copy of Windows 8 Home, would I be able to do a clean install with that?

If you have a full version of 8 Home you will be able to do a clean install.

That should work using the Pro version but when you install it-since you have Home COA in the BIOS it should install as Windows 8 Home even if you have pro but that is based on my experience with Windows 7 install not sure how Windows 8 install would work on this. But should work the same but with the UEFI COA being Home should install from the PRO disc with the Home version from the Pro disc based on your UEFI COA in the Bios. You will have to try to install Windows 8 Pro and see if the Home version pops up if not then you might end up having to buy a Home version of Windows 8 to install.
