I am trying to do a clean install of Windows XP Pro on my Acer Aspire 2025. Once Windows XP Pro has finished installing however, I do not know what to do next. In what order should I install my drivers, programs and service packs?

Service Pack first I would believe.

After, it doesn't really matter, but drivers should go first, just to make sure everything is working.

I would go with the essential Drivers first, then the Service Pack then all your programs. This way you can minimize any screw ups with the service packs.

You should use a tool called nLite. It can be used to slipstream service packs into the windows installation so that you dont have to install them later on. here are the full list of options:

    nLite Features

    - Service Pack Integration
    - Component Removal
    - Unattended Setup
    - Driver Integration *
    - Hotfixes Integration **
    - Tweaks
    - Patches ***
    - Bootable ISO creation

    * - Textmode (CD Boot) and normal PnP
** - only new type 1 hotfixes (for example XP post SP2)
***- supports generic SFC, Uxtheme, TcpIp and Usb Polling patching.

it is very easy to use, almost any user should be able to use it. Everything can be explained within the program itself. Go here for the home page of nLite: http://www.nliteos.com/nlite.html
