    I am considering purchasing a Clevo P170EM chassis laptop with an i3630QM and Nvidia 680 GPU.

    What has people's experience been with this type of Clevo laptop and Windows 8, in particular any driver issues I should be aware of ?

    I don't know of any driver issues specifically with the 170EM and Windows 8, but there are issues otherwise. Windows Blue may or may not address and/or correct them.

    DPC_Watchdog violation, inconsistent Bluetooth functionality (prevalent anyway, but more so in Win 8 it seems), some users have experienced somewhat erratic behavior when putting the system to Sleep or Hibernate, etc.

    The only driver issue that comes to mind is with the BigFoot cards, but that's more on the component manufacturer than Microsoft.
