Hi...
There is something strange going on here...if my volume control is up (say, I have been listening to music), and I open Control Panel, for every mouse click there is a clicking sound - I should clarify, the sounds comes through the speakers. I noticed the same thing happens when I use IE. Strangely, this does not happen when I use either Opera or FF. It also does not happen when I use Office.
So...
1) Is this clicking sound a system sound?
2) Short of keeping the volume control down, is there any other way to get rid of it?
BTW, if I remember correctly, it also used to happen when I was on XP.
I am on Vista Home Premium. IE version is 7.
Thanks

It's a system sound.
That thing was annoying me to no end, so I went into control panel, and got rid of it. The name of the associated action was "Start Navigation" under the Sounds tab in the "Sounds" window. Just change the sound to "none", and you're good to go. -
