Hello all. I'm doing some tech support for a friend who's got an old refurbished computer full of programs and files with, wouldn't you know it, not a single piece of installation media in sight. Friend needs a new hard drive, lacks even a recovery CD, and only god knows what files are backed up and what files aren't.

So I want to clone from the smaller hard drive to the larger one. Who knows about cloning software? (or, perhaps something more hackery with changing bits for the filesystem structure or something...)

Gnome partition editor. Will copy partitions/drives and alter file systems from a bootable CD. Its based on linux so its really easy to use.
