I got my Dell 6000 notebook this week and I LOVE it but when I watch videos, the quality isn't the best and I'm having trouble adjusting correctly the gamma/brightness/contrast settings. Are there any software out there that can help me with the calibration?

    Thanks

For watching movies and just general personal needs, using those kind of tools are the best way to go. if you want exact color corrrection, and the ability to profile your monitor and printer - usefull mainly to photographers, then get ColorVision's Spyder. It's a hardware device that hangs over your monitor and takes pictures of the screen. then compares it to it's software program and makes the right adjustments.

    It's expensive though.

I find that Powerstrip is a good tool. You'll have to tweak and fine tune a lot though before you get what you want.
