well there has been progress lately.. it's now on beta version 2

for anyone interested here's the Comodo forum link

I keep checking from time to time but the final version is still a way of it seems. I've not tried the beta version myself to be honest I'd rather wait til the final release. It looks like it's Windows Firewall With Advanced Settings for me for a little while longer!

I just dont understand software firewalls that much..........costs just as much overall to implement some hardware, and just as simple to maintain

stop it before it gets to the front door...

I use a software firewall to stop outgoing connections not incoming ones. I have a hardware firewall on my router but it doesn't stop anything already on my computer connecting with the outside world. I'm not just referring to viruses/trojans etc but legitimate programs as well. I just like the belts and braces approach to computer security (within reason of course!)
