Is it just games, or generally laggy? Have you tweaked it at all? Check this thread out.

I assume it wasn't always slow? Maybe the fan has a lot of dust on it and it is overheating.

Do you have all the drivers up to date (especially Video drivers)?

Yeah most of my drivers are up to date, my video card is at 180.84 DOX optimized.

And no it wasnt always this laggy especially when i only installed like 10 programs on it.

Its general laggy but even more when i try to close my Counter Strike Source ingame, it lags my whole computer and i have to force shut down :(

Try going with the latest official nVidia driver instead of the hacked driver; that driver may be causing problems with your particular setup and the simplest way to determine if that's the case, or not, is to run with the latest approved drivers. Also, if/when you uninstall the hacked drivers, make sure you use something like drivercleaner to make sure that the driver is completely uninstalled before installing the official drivers.

I was intending on doing so, however the 179.28 drivers do not support Sony Vaio machines :(

and the latest "official" drivers before then are so far back that it would give me a HUGEE performance decrease over my current ones.

I could try to install the 179.28 though..

I understand that the last set of official drivers won't give you the performance you want; however, the point of re-installing them is diagnostic, that is, to determine whether or not your general slowness is being caused by the unofficial drivers you currently have installed.
