I got a problem with my comp, I can't formate it.. You know I don't got any CD's to it so it is a bot system when I start my computer. And I need to press "F11" to make a formate of my computer. When I press on it, nothing happens/respond and l can't formate it. What is the problem?

It's a bot system, no CD's. The F11 function dosent work..

    Yo people.

I got a Compaq Presario CQ60-113EO Notebook PC. Now I wonder if I can downgrade it to XP instead of have Vista. So, is it possible to downgrade to xp from vista?

Give me tip, cus I can't formate it with my bot system on my comp.
(When I restart the comp I need to press F11 to do System Recovery, it's not working so I dont know how to formate the computer with out any CD's.)

but can I really downgrade my computer to XP from Vista? =D

first: you shouldn't. if vista is slow, fix it (you would do the same on xp).

second: boot from the cd, go into setup, and format from the setup? and have fun with drivers. a lot of the newer pc's/notebooks don't have win-xp drivers any more. it may be very, very instable, if it works at all.

Review your documentation first, and see if you have the chance to create recovery CDs from your recovery partition.

    cheers ...

Whats a BOT system? never heard of that before.

Looking at Compaq's site there isn't any drivers for XP for your laptop, but have a look at the second link theres some there, quite a recent thread so hopefully the links for the drivers still work. Probably best to burn them all to a cd so that you have them if you want to reformat again.

Me neither, and apparently neither has Wikipedia. So it might help if you explain what a BOT system is, if it means the standard installation procedures won't work.

Yes, it's possible. Check Compaq's support site to see if they have XP drivers for your computer. If not, you may have to find them from the hardware manufacturer individually.
