I have looked into backup solutions before, but didn't know enough to know what I'm looking for.
    Here's what I've got:
Panasonic Toughbook CF-29 and an external USB HDD that I use as my backup drive as well as a regular mass storage for other computers, as needed.
I need to backup my CF29's hdd, but don't want to copy over 100+gigs of stuff for only a few files that need to be backed up/updated.

FOr instance, we'll us My Music. 80gb or so, and I add files to my primary HDD regularly. When i go to backup my primary drive, I just recopy the entire folder and it takes a while or gets interrupted one way or another.
What I need is a program that compares the two folders (primary and backup), sees whats changed, and only copy that content over (I'll be doing this for several different folders).

I'm soo overwhelmed with the options that I don't know where to start.

    TIA!

Thanks! I know there is another thread near the top of the forum and had seen you recommend that there too. I'm checking out the user manual now. I had hoped for a small elegant solution, not necessarily 1 click, but I'm liking the other features I see with achronis so far.

Did a quick google earlier, and was looking at WinMerge. Any thoughts on that'n?

Never used winmerge, Currently trying to get a question answered by Acronis customer service but they seem really busy. I want to beable to restore image with both linux and win7 on the same disk and due to formatting, with Acronis 2010 I was unable to. So seeing if it's worth upgrading to 2012 now.

I believe when you order it you also get the plus pack. Which has a 1 click backup option. You may have to adjust the settings of the 1 click thing. I've never used it though so I can't say. But it does have a 1 click option. But Acronis is by far some of the best software I've invested in.

EDIT: Maybe it was only 2010 that had the one click. Maybe it wasn't even a plus pack thing. Maybe it was in the regualr Acronis 2010. I'm not sure it was widely used though so it may not be a feature in the newer versions. If you don't get the plus pack, I wouldn't invest in it. I've never used it.

SuperFlexible also works well. I use it. It does differential and incremental backups.
