I've seen this laptop (HP HDX) which I'm seriously considering, it comes with 64-Bit vista (I don't know much, well anything about different versions of Vista) but by what I've researched most laptops come with 32-Bit... so as its 64-Bit vista will I still be able to download & install MSN etc. without any hitches, likewise with games, will I not be able to play some/all of my games, on the back side of the games cases the only requirement that comes close is the OS, it doesn't say about which 'bit' version you have, so will it affect any thing I install? If that makes any sense what so ever!

You need to buy the upgrade and then hunt down and install appropriate drivers. There is lots of help here for that. There are compatability issues with some programs but very few anymore.

    Any 32bit programs operate withing a 32bit window of 64Bit Vista...just fine.

Buy the upgrade...? It comes with vista 64-bit pre-installed, but I was just curious about MSN and games etc.
Have I interpreted what you wrote correctly?

If you absolutely have problems with 64bit once you get it, you can switch to 32bit (you'll have to reinstall). However you only need to obtain the 32bit Vista disc, you don't need to buy a new license for it. If you use the ABR tool in my clean install guide (see sig), you can do that with minimal problems.

However, 64bit is really nice and most things work just fine with it.
