Hello, this has been a problem the past few days. I have a Lenovo y50, and when I close the lid, the computer doesn't sleep, and the 'battery charging' light remains on even if I unplug it. I've tried switching power options, restarting, shutting down, I also did a full scan lol, just in case. I'm still trying to work on it, but I wanted to ask if there was a problem like this before, and somebody may already know how to fix it. I've had this problem (computer not sleeping on close) before, and it corrected itself over time. The charger light is new. Thanks in advance. :D

Check your power management profile settings, "When I close the lid... " and there are few options like: do nothing, sleep, hibernate or shutdown. Make sure is "sleep" is selected.

Make sure that it is selected when both plugged in and when on battery, I have one notebook that will not set itself to sleep if I close the lid on AC (I set it that way) and then if I unplug it, it will remain powered on rather than going to sleep straight away.
