Lately I've been having with my screen freezing randomly.
It seems to appear when I've left the computer on for a few days.. then everything freezes. mouse cursor doesn't move. etc
after several minutes, the screen turns blank and the bottom flickers.. here's a video of it

What do you think is causing it? I ran memtest.. memory seems okay.. I ran HD Tune.. doesn't seem to have any bad sectors
running on Win 7 Pro 64 bit

What graphics card does that computer have and how are the temperatures? Have you already tried reseating the RAM?

Nvidia QuadroFX 770M. haven't measured the temperature with a program yet but the times it freezes are at times when the computer isn't really doing much (like going on google).. and not emitting much heat or fan activity. Have not tried reseating the ram. perhaps I should?

I had a similar issue on my Vaio Z, but I never figured out what seemed to fix it. The only things that I can think of are: I've changed the drivers, I've swapped my USB 3.0 express card.

how often do you clean your fans and vents out with compressed air?

you can find all the monitoring software in my sig below. run hw monitor and gpuz and also try mem test if you think it could be a ram problem
