So it's been quite a while since this came out now, what do you all think about this? How useful is it?
I know that you can normally just reformat to get rid of it, but some reviews were saying that even if the main partition's reformated, the copy in hidden recovery partitions of some systems like HP and Thinkpads would still activate..
Also, people mentioned a version of this program that would flash onto your BIOS--but I didn't find any trace of this on the computrace website...does this exist?
Pretty much in general, is this worth the price? I will of course have a kensington chain to deter theft as well.
Edit: a 2nd unrelated question: Kensington Microsaver DS vs Bolt Cutter. Who wins?

A High school in my area did an experiment: they provided all students with a laptop with lojack. This year was the first year; their enrollment was about 3000 students. To date, not one laptop remains un-recovered.

I can find out tomorrow how many went missing, but so far all were recovered. I heard a bunch of cases of them being misplaced, but can't remember them offhand.
