I just recently bought a new laptop and I have installed three different hard drives in it. The first one is a Samsung 830 256 GB SSD. This drive will be used only for OS and Application. Next I have a Seagate Momentus XT 500 GB Hybrid drive. For this drive, I just want to save files from Auto Cad, 3DS Max, and Revit. So this drive doesn't have to have any structure in it. The last drive is a Western Digital 1TB drive. I want to store all the typical information that would be associated with windows on this drive, like my downloads, pictures, and my document since it has to most amount of space. How would I go about configuring the drives. Pretty much my concern would be to get the directory to the Western Digital.

Thanks for the link. I'm looking for a way to do exactly that, while removing those libraries from the original location if that's possible.

Right click any of the 'My' folders -> click 'Properties' -> Select the 'Location' tab -> You can probably guess the rest...

I looked into that, but wouldn't I have to go into each application and direct the path to the newly created one. Is there a way just to move everything at once and have all the paths automatically update itself. I think that how one of the solutions with moving the profile location worked, but someone made a comment about OS related info being in the profile so it wouldn't be smart to do. Its surprising that there's so many different ways to do this. All I want to use the SSD for is OS and programs. Everything else on the other HDD.

olyteddy's method will not require you to do anything else. If you change the location of the folder using that method, everything that needs to access those locations will point to the new one automatically.

They way that he mentioned is only good when you want to move only one folder. Once that folder is moved, the parent folder disappears and only the content of the folder is moved. I just did it as a test, I right clicked on my contacts and changed the location of it to my d: drive. When I went to my d: drive, the only thing that was there was the content of my contacts. So I went to go restore it back to its original location and I got the error that it can't because something about the sub-folder. Now I'm stuck with a no "my contacts" folder under c:users/me/. How can I get that back. Also is there another way to achieve what I'm trying to do other than this method? Thank you
