 I'm ready to purchase a notebook with XP Media Center 2005 on it to replace my desktop pc. I found a nice 'buy' last weekend but was concerned because the ad and info in front of the display models just said 'Windows XP Media Center'. So I looked at the system on a few of the display models and that screen said it was loaded with Version 2002 - Service Pack 2 BUT..... on the display models that had Media Center loaded and running (not many did), when I went into the 'settings" it listed MCE 2005Update Rollup 2 - which is what I want! What I'm unsure about is that I'd be buying a notebook that's just been loaded with an update of MCE 2005 and that I'll have all sorts of problems when I try to use various features. That's what I've noted when I've 'googled' this question and read the info. Yes.... I tried to get an answer from Toshiba and Microsoft. Anyone out there who has purchased a system with this conflicting info? And... has it proved to be a problem when using the features - a big problem or just small, easy to figure out problems?
