I have the two laptops in my sig.
I know this is kind of a long shot and I doubt it's possible (especially since one is an AMD setup and one is an intel/Nvidia setup) but I thought I'd ask to make sure.
Is there any way I can connect my two laptops together to augment the performance? See, all of the weaker parts of my Asus are the stronger parts of my HP, and the weaker parts of my HP are the stronger parts of my Asus.
The operating systems aren't exactly the same... but if it matters I could put Windows 7 ultimate on my HP if I have to because I bought 3 licenses at once and have only used 1.
Like I said... I doubt it's possible but if I find out it is after I sell my Asus I'll feel like a jackazz.

no, all you can do is cluster them for number crunching

Basically you already have multiple computers with duo-core processors and quad core processors. Some i7 are 4 core 8 thread machines (which simulate 8 processors). Connecting 2 computers would slow things down because you can never get as fast of a connection by connecting 2 computers.
