    I've been using vista on my new laptop and I am noticing a whole lot of disk access going on for like 5 minutes after it boots into windows. I opened up the resource monitor and this is what it looks like. That number just keeps going higher and higher.

    I don't know why its reading my FEAR folder so much. I have indexing off so its not that. Anyone have a clue why svchost would be doing this?

    Just guessing, I think executive paging is disabled. Actually now that I think about it it probably hasnt been deframented in a while. Id defragment the drive. You should always defragment after installing a game for optimal performance.
