The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Found a message box that ive never seen. Every time i start up AIM, this message comes up, no matter what i click on; even if i put in my password it does work? Then when i close the box its gone and doesn't come back up until i restart AIM. does it have anything to do with the system polices. That the only thing i can think of, but i cant find anything that sounds like whats happening.

    If you have parental controls on that could cause it, since AIM likes to load up webpages for adverts and whatnot. Take note of the address in the title bar and google it? Might as well run an AV scan while you're at it

    Its not in the parental control, Ill google it next time it comes up, i couldn't find anything on it earlier.
