    Control Alt Delete- Kill all hidden chrome instances running

    I'll X out chrome. Then I'll try to install something unrelated and will get a message that I must close chrome first. Then I realize there is about 14 - 20 or so instances of chrome hidden running even though the window is X'd out.

    I use windows 10

    How do you kill all the instances of chrome without having to manually end task on each of those 14-20 (which is what I've been doing so far)?

    I use the word instances because I lack the proper vocabulary.

    try going to settings > advanced settings > system (at the bottom) > uncheck "Continue running background apps when Chrome is closed." Although I've that checked but maybe because I don't have any app that runs after chrome is closed so I don't have those chromes running after chrome is closed.
