    Hello all,

    a quick google didn't help...

I'm on Office 2010 Beta and want to embed an Excel Spreadsheet in such a way that I can edit and move it around during the presentation - is this possible?

(Worst case I'll use screenshots as I need it by Monday)

    OK, what have I tried...

"insert" - "object" - "Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet" (and selected my file)

I just figured out how to have it open Excel - which would work... but ideally I'd like a "dynamic slide".

Is that possible in Office 2010 Beta?

Since no one has answered, I might as well give it a whirl, but I am not sure I follow you...

If you've done what you've done, the slide should be reflecting changes in your spreadsheet.

Well, its not about the slide reflecting changes.

I would like to be able to move around on the slide during the presentation and zoom in and out.

But thanks for a first reply gerry :)

Hmm, interesting. So is thing going to require data interaction? If not, I think I would be going a different route and using some sort of screen capture/animation software, then embedding the resulting video into the powerpoint presentation.

I cannot think of how you might do it otherwise.

    Video would be worse...

It apparently could be done in older <strike>Excel</strike> Powerpoint versions...
    e.g. http://www.indezine.com/products/powerpoint/cool/excelinpowerpoint.html

But this isn't available any more - and wouldn't have been ideal.

Now another thing: The excel spreadsheet that I add is embedded in the Power Point Presentation - else it couldn't work on another computer without the spreadsheet and also else the data increase cannot be explained...

But I guess there is no way to do it :(

I'll stick with the "window view" then.
It would be nice to be able to shot that the spreadsheet works - but well...
    You can't always get everything.

It would have been a nice gimmick.

    Thanks again :)
