I have Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit. Whenever I try to access any item in control, I get an error saying,"Windows explorer has stopper working" and it restarts my explorer everytime. Any way to fix this?

No...but all that technology at only 32 bits? That just doesn't seem right some how.

Any idea what can be done to fix this?
I really need to use the control panel. -
That happened the first time I installed Vista 64-bit...I reformatted and reinstalled the exact same OS and it never happened again.

Can someone recommend me a software to look into status of hard drive?
Like if it has bad sectors, errors and other details.
Thanks -
it's unlikely to be bad sectors or errors. Most likely a corrupt installation. I assume system restore didn't do anything?

The system just freezes unusally so just wanted to check for bad sectors so can anyone recommend a nice software for that?

It looks like my system loves to have Win 7 reinstalled every month. its 4th time in a row that Im reinstalling it.
-
Thank goodness for imaging software.

This would happen to me when I had Windows Vista 32 bit. I traced it down to Avast Antivirus. When I turned Avast off I was able to access the control panel successfully.
