    hey guys im looking for a free program to convert dvd to avi format. i have the following programs so if one of those will work just tell me how

    Nero 7 premium
    Roxio easy media creater 7
    Ulead dvd movie factory
    Dvd shrink 3.2

    so if there is a program that i could use to convert dvd to avi or a feature with one of these then please let me know

    I use dvd shrink. Very good and free.

    dvd shrink goes straight to AVI? how? i didn't realize that

    lol it doesn't :) it burns the .vob which can be converted to .avi - Nero might be able to do it, I know I have done .avi to HD dvd Using nero Recode - Dont know if it the other way -

    if you use dvd shrink look up StaxRip it's freeware and will convert ripped files to avi
