    This Microsoft software using your broadband to Loacate where you are.

    Pretty cool for not having a GPS reciever. Pretty acurate too, was only off one block from me.

    If anybody knows about this, Does it locate the HARDLINE or WIRELESS signal? Is it dectecting my RCN I.P?

    Will it work if I'm using one of those wireless anywhere CARDS while traveling?

    From the Microsoft website:

    Microsoft Location Finder uses WiFi access points - or reverse IP lookup when WiFi is not available - to center and display the person's location

    It's looking at IP addresses and then cross referencing that data with the ISP to determine where the signal is coming from.
