hi, i have a windows vista 64 bit and would like to know how to copy a vcd and dvd into hard drive? i have a few movies on vcds and dvds that i would like to copy into my hard drive so, i can watch them. looked at vcdgear for vcd copy but not sure if it will work for windows vista. I would like to try something that comes recommended as i am very new to windows vista.

You could try just copying files over via explorer - PowerDVD or Windows Media player is then able to play them.
This works if there is no copy protection.

Bypassing the copy protection may be illegal depending on your location...

Thus check your local laws first.
