    Is Core 2 due 2Ghz T7250 64bit compatible processor? Can I run 32bit application on 64bit XP pro SP1?

    Yes, you can run 32-bit applications on 64-bit XP.

    sounds good... which means i can use all of my applications on XP 64bit. will there be any performance enhancement? will i see 4Gb RAM on 64bit XP which i don't see now on 32bit XP ??

    Yeah almost all the applications will work on 64-bit as well.... But some applications wont install itself on 64-bit OSes like NOD32.... You need to get the 64-bit edition of NOD32 for it to work in 64-bit....

    But all the drivers need to be compulsorily 64-bit for them to install on a 64-bit OS.... Even if you use some mobile phone tools or something they might install some drivers for the mobile and they too must be 64-bit.....

    XP X64 is bit tricky since the drivers / security softwares are those of WinServer 2003 x64 though

    yea vista 64 bit has good driver support. another option for a virus scanner is avast. it checks your os then either installs a 32 bit or 64 bit version

    JCMS, the security not quite (in terms of restrictions). NT5.2 is better than NT5.1 in XP.
