Hey guys. I was recently looking for office suites to do word processing, pp presentations, spreadsheets, etc. At first I wanted to see how much Office 2007 and saw that it was very expensive; and also Office 2003. So I stumbled upon Corel WordPerfect which I've used before and went to ebay to see how much they were. To my surprise, they were in the $25-$40 range, in which the retail prices are in $100 for the basic to $250 for the standard. Can anyone here verify that the Corel WordPerfect at ebay is the real deal and not just some scam, already registered software, bootleg, etc.

    Ok guys, good luck.

your best bet would be to look at the auction carefully-Make sure you see actual pictures of the product and packaging in a home enviroment.

Thanks. How's Quattro Pro and Presentations stacked up against Excel and PowerPoint? I've experienced that WordPerfect is better than MS Word.

I haven't used Quattro Pro, but I have used Presentations and I only have one thing to say, It ain't no PowerPoint. I mean, It was really difficult for me to get used to the interface differences from PowerPoint 2003. I was also disappointed with the lack of templates and slide backgrounds-Corel says to go online for more, but those looked cheesy and there wasn't nearly as wide of a selection as Office Online. I'd download the Demo version of Corel and play with it for a while.
