When starting and shuting down my notebook i get an error saying corrupt file. I think it is LoginUI.exe or something like that and it says to use chkdsk. Also there is an error for the task bar that says corrupt file. my hiberation option on power down is also not avaliable any more. using the check now way and the cmd prompt way my computer says that there is an error but cannot fix it and it only gets like 5% done. also when selecting the fix on reboot my computer never fixes the problem. then i used the sfc /scannow prompt through cmd and it does not even get done verifying, it stops at 72%verification. i used windows defender and superantispyware and found no harmful software. what do i need to do now to fix the problem. i am also seeing this error when opening up internet explorer and the explorer.exe is not in tsk mngr. what is wrong and what are the steps to correct this problem besides fresh installing windows. i used windows defender, superantispyware, and avg and found no virus or spyware with complete searches.

When did the problem start? What is the exact error message? What version of Windows do you have?

Also - don't bump a post for at least 24 hours.
