I'm currently customizing my new Dell e1405 and am looking for some details. I read the sticky thread about XP customization, downloaded WindowBlinds, Icon Packager, and a nice screensaver: 3D Wonders's Cosmic Voyage.

First, Cosmic Voyage. I love it and it is just about ideal for me, but the annoying thing is that the supposedly "free" version ends up being a trial version in which huge title letters reading "Cosmic Voyage by 3D Wonders" show up, with small letters saying "If you want that to go away, buy it for $14.95." Or something like that.

So my question is this: any free screensavers out there along the lines of Cosmic Voyage? (travelling through space with beautiful graphics). Or any recommended sites for FREE (and not Trial) screensavers and other XP dressings?

As for WindowBlinds, I like it, but am finding that it starts up when I turn on my computer with its warning about the trial ending in 60 days (and counting). Is there any way to make it so this doesn't pop up? And secondly, when that trial ends will it somehow "take away" the Window Blinds I have installed?

    Thanks!

as far as i know, there's no way for you to stop "the trial warning" everytime you start your os. This is something that annoys me when using trial versions of any apps. this trial version, also, of windows blinds has so many limited features that will only be available if you purchased the enhanced version. that said, i prefer to just hacked my uxtheme.dll (it's free! :D ) and install mssthemes that are available in many sites. this is something that should be included in aerosense sticky thread but i think (i hope) :) he's still on the process of doing it...

If you like the program or screensaver, please by all means, support the creators by purchasing a licensed version. This is the only way to legally remove the nags. I dislike nags and read all the reviews that I can before I download software. The idea behind trial or shareware is for you to test the product before you purchase it. GL
