Hi guys, in the past month or so I've noticed certain programs, such as Avast Free Edition and CCleaner, have stopped auto-updating/notifying me about updates. Their specific forums have suggested a system problem rather then the program itself. Any ideas as to what system issues could cause this?

    Thanks.

I'd say it is either a program setting problem or a firewall issue. I've never experienced problems about getting the notifications to update those two. Have you tried running them with admin privileges?

First check event viewer for any related errors. If none are found and IF it is only those 2 programs and nothing else changed I would remove them and reinstall both.

I think I'll reinstall the programs, can't find anything wrong with my system...
