I just did an update of the BIOS and I have the impression that the laptop consumes less power...

    Sometimes yes :)

It allow manufactures to optimise how system work with battery power.

    Eg: VGA/Processor throttling behaviour

VGA Throttling only applies for system with integrated graphics otherwise the VGA ROM is located in the GPU and OEMS seldom or never ask users to update VGA BIOS.

What I meant is that for laptops with discrete graphics, VGA BIOS is not in system BIOS but in a VGA BIOS chip on the discrete card.
However for laptop with integrated graphics such as Radeon 3200HD, Nvidia 9400M G or Radeon 4200HD System BIOS contain the VGA BIOS as a module inside, hence Nibitor will not be able to extract the VGA BIOS and undervolting have to be done by decompiling the system BIOS, mod the VGA Mod, recompile and flashed.

thats not quite true. the Asus M60J has a 230m (discrete) that has the VGA bios located in the system bios.
