I need help.
Basically what happened is, one of my old PC (Acer) went kaput in a sense that it could not load windows.
So what happened is, I installed windows 7 64 bit edition on it.
Everything is fine and all.
Loading to windows is great.
The only problem is, it seems that the ethernet driver wasn't installed automatically by the win7 installation.
So what I did was
1st - Install generic ethernet drivers 64 bit
2nd - Install specific driver to the acer model
Nothing works. I still couldn't use the internet.
The 1st one installed fine but the pc just states that internet isn't still available.
The 2nd one is even worst. When I was abt to install it, it says no network adapter detected.
Really could use some help here.

How old is that Acer? I may be too old for Win 7 64. you might try Win 7 32.

What notebook and Ethernet card are we talking here? Model name and numbers please - otherwise it's hard to suggest a specific solution.

It's actually a PC Desktop.
The model is Acer M5620 - Q93M2R5
I tried going here to download the driver;
http://www.driverscape.com/manufacturers/acer/laptops-desktops/aspire-m5620/5870
Doesn't work
Could not install ethernet driver (Windows 7 64 bit)
