Ok so I have XP and Vista dual booting on my laptop and I have a couple of audio related questions.
It has a Realtek High Def Audio device (I'm assuming the soundcard).
On XP I have an audio manager (Realtek) that has a graphic equaliser, on Vista the same driver (but obvioulsy the Vista version) does not have the equaliser in the audio manager but instead has a load of useless presets.
Does anyone know of a Vista driver from Realtek that has an equaliser in the audio manager the same as the one that comes with the XP drivers?
Second question -
In Vista you have a sound mixer that allows you to change the volume levels of individual apps - is there anyway to get the same thing in XP?
Thanks in advance for any advice![]()

Ok so I found out that realtek have canned the 10 band graphic equalizer for Vista, doesn't matter at the mo cos I use XP more due to gaming needs.
But has anyone got any advice on my second question?
Thanks in advance for any help -
No suggestion for you at this point, because it really looks like Vista is SOL. You may try writing Realtek about their retard move to drop the 10-band equalizer. I suspect they probably laid off their chief programmer and replaced him with their janitor. That, or maybe they really hate Windows Vista and want people to give it up.
