I've done it before with XP, but is it possible for Windows 7?
This was the instructions for XP: http://www.howtohaven.com/system/createwindowssetupdisk.shtml

Bump. No ideas?

It cannot be done.

Do you mean something like the following?

The NeoSmart Vista disc saved me big time with Vista. -
Not system recovery or repair discs. But clean install disks just like a retail disc.
Why can't it be done? Is it due to the way Vista and 7 are installed now? -
Oh. Sounds like a tricky thing to do, I didn't know it could be done in XP without files from the original Windows disc. The closest I can think of would be to use some kind of backup software to make an image of the drive onto bootable discs. I believe my G50Vt restore discs do just that. But it would be nice to create recovery discs minus all the bloatware.

I've added the link for the XP way in the first post. That's how I got my XP disc from my Thinkpad because Lenovo won't give me one :S

You can always download the Unrestricted copy of Windows 7 (there's a thread somewhere around here with a link) and backup the License key, and reinstall from that.
