Hi, would someone be able to tell me how to create a bootable hard drive partition? I want to do a clean install of Windows 7 from a .iso file. I have two HDs, I have Windows 7 installed on one and would like to use an already created partition on drive 2 to install the .iso file. Is this possible? I've transfered the .iso file to the partition I want to use but can't figure out how to make it recognized at the boot screen. What do I do?
Thanks in advance for the help

If you were a system builder, you would have access to the Windows 7 OPK which makes this fantastically easy
However, as a mere mortal there is a great guide here: Solved Creating a Media-less Recovery / Installation Partition - Windows 7 Forums -
Thanks Shane.
Also realized you could download the .iso, extract it with WinRar and run the Setup.exe installing Windows 7 over your current version on the same drive. -
Need to create a partition? dont worry, did you solve you problem? read this article, and try Partition Assistant's free edition---- resize partition software.

That program looks suspiciously like one or two other programs. Is there some
public domain base software that everyone is using ? -
This can be done easily with Instant PC Recovery it will create the partition for you and give you an F4 option. It even allows you to do updates and create emergency DVD's

Partition Assistant Home Edition is a free software, I am not clear whether it could support wins7, but maybe you can into its website and have a look.
