I'm running a 32bit Vista OS :frown: and I have found that like 32bit XP, my computer only recognizes 3 out of the 4 gigs of RAM I installed. I read on a Yahoo Answers that while the system recognizes 3 it uses all 4 anyway. Fact or Fiction, I await the answer. Many thanks guys and girls.

I'm pretty sure it only uses 3 GB and that you need a 64 bit OS to use 4 GB.

to get the full ram usage in 32bit, you need to install 4 gb, but due to the limitation of 32bit it will only address (use) 2.7 - 3 gb, or somewhere round there.

in the new vista ap1 the system information will show you have 4gb installed not how much it can use. That depends on a compatible bios though.
