    Hi

I'm playing around with my laptops looks (well the OS anyway), as I'm slightly bored... :D

I have downloaded Alienwares AlienGUise app for both XP and Vista and the Xenomorph (vista clone) theme for XP is brilliant. My Asus M70VM now looks like an Alienware, well on the screen anyway...

Can't say the same about the only theme available for Vista though (Invader I think it's called) but it's ok.

Anyway I've got my logon screen customised now as well with the Alienware black "Invader" pic.

But I've still got that annoying Vista Orb on startup just before the logon screen.

So I am wondering if it's possible to change that without totally corrupting my OS?

I'd like to change it to an Alienware Alien head with glowing blue eyes if I can.

FYI I have Vista Home Premium SP1.

Thanks in advance for any tips on this. :)

AFAIK it isn't possible to edit/remove that vista orb. There was a long discussion in the tweaking thread awile ago.

Ah bummer. That really lets the "illusion" down, still I suppose even actual Alienware computers have that...

Oh well my XP install looks like Vista with some Alienware bits and my Vista OS doesn't look like basic Vista so I'm happy with the changes that the AlienGUise app have allowed me to make.

Now, just need to work out how to fit an Alienware skull cap lid to my Asus...
