Does anyone know how to customize the power on pwd screen on a hp nx8220? or maybe i'll just get a smart card or something to secure it.

    Cheers.

Do you want to change the look, or the functionality? Go to www.themexp.org for tons of custom login screens. As far as "securing" it, I'm not quite sure what you mean...

I'm talking about the power on pwd logon screen that the bios brings up.

Refering to securing, I was talking about alternatives to a power on pwd.

Well, I don't think you could change the BIOS screen, but you can change the Windows XP loading screen. Download BootSkin - www.wincustomize.com has it and tons of cool skins. ;)
