I have tried a few things and have not been able to get it to work, I have tried the reshacker method but it will not allow me to save over the old aero file.

    Any help would be great!

You need to take ownership of the original aero.msstyles, rename it and place your new one.

Also make sure your uxtheme is patched!

I switched to windows classic and opened reshacker to make my changes, this time around it allowed me to save the new aero file but when I go back in to change back to windows aero it is not listed as an option anymore (luckily I backed it up) no idea whats going on now :/ I also patched the uxtheme file
