Powerdvd9 keeps giving me this error message when I insert a blu-ray disc; ''There is Disc with an un-supported format in drive E''.

Does anybody know why this is?
P-DVD works fine with DVD's and used to play blurays fine too, all of a sudden for no reason at all this error message keeps popping up!

I allways use AnyDvD HD to by-pass all the protection crap.

I tried re-installing and updating both P-DVD and AnyDVD, but the same thing keeps happening.

I know it has to be Powerdvd because I downloaded DA Player a free program that plays blurays and that works fine.

    Help!!!

Have you tried any other Blu-rays? Is it possible that the disc you are trying has some sort of protection that PowerDVD cannot read?

Yes, I have tried 4 different blu-rays, all clean and scratch free.

People still use this program? LOL

I use VLC for everything! works better than any player out there.

I love the fact that it can increase the volume by 200% , very useful for notebooks :D

VLC is nice, but unfortunately with Blu-ray there is not much support. I have a Blu-ray player, so I agree it is the best player out there.

Have just tried playing bluray with VLC and still no luck.

    Comes up with this message:

    No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format "undf". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.
    Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'dvd://E:\'. Check the log for details.

does blu-ray have region protection that is limited like dvd's to 5 regions and then it locks. if so that really sucks.

Just downloaded ArcSoft Total Media Theatre and that plays my Blu-Rays fine!

Am starting to wonder if Cyberlink just don't bother updating their older programms with the newer necessary encryption software so you have to upgrade.

If tha'ts the case, im upgrading to a different company!

Very much doubt that if the same blu-rays worked fine on it before. Time to "buy" some software :p
