My Dell Inspiron 700m was delivered with WinXP Home SP2 installed. I would like to upgrade the OS to WinXP Professional myself. Are there any issue I should be aware of before proceeding? My PC experience if little better than average. My concern is would I have access to all devices after the upgrade from Home to Pro. Right now the Home version provides less than adequate networking and sys admin functionality. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciative.

If you just upgrade, it should be painless. I'd probably go with a clean install though and pull the drivers you need off the Dell site or the disk if they included one. I'd bet most of your stuff will auto install anyway though.

Shouldn't be a problem. I did fresh install w/ my Fujitsu. it came w/ home, i changed to pro. All i did was get the drivers of CD. All the driver should work, if not get online and grab them on dell's site.
