Or windows 7 for that matter?

I'm going for a gamer notebook (sager 8660 or higher spec'd) but I was curious about the preformance of DJ programs on the vista system. Cause despite having a powerful laptop, if the OS is not playing nice with the DJ equiptment its a moot point.

Also I know this is a hardware question but do you think it would be possible to run serato on a netbook say the EEEpc 1000 the N10 or the sony P?

I have run Traktor on Vista 32 bit with no issues.

    my main is Virtual DJ
and the king is Fruityloops..for composing beats.

    all run fine on vista.

i'm mixing professionally with traktor 3 on vista (32bit) since vista's out (and since i have my 2710p).

that's on a core2duo ulv 1.2ghz (yep!!) and it works great. i had up to 9h sets, no problems ever.

and i got traktor to work (with midicontroler, not with vinyl tested, though) on an asus 900, that's the one with the celeron at 600mhz. it works, with tweakings of xp stable without any issue. quite fun portable mini-mixing system (together with a faderfox for the mixing).

oh, and ableton live finally works great, too, after the last update they got (finally) all their issues with aero resolved (at least on my systems). now aero never dies while ableton live is running. it's a great piece of software (live, that is.. vista's great, too, of course :))
