Hi guys, I want to run some older .DOS games on my laptop with the specs in the signature.

I still have an old Windows 98 (not second edition) disc lying around and was wondering...

What would be better, running .DOS games with DOSBox or installing Windows 98 in a virtual machine? I heard with DOSBox you had to put a couple of lines into command to make it work everytime you want to run a program which sounds annoying.

Also... what virtual machine do you guys recommend?

Ok so I installed Virtualbox with Windows 98 and it works, but it is EXTREMELY slow... I have the RAM up to 256 MBs and the VRAM up to 64 MBs with 3D and 2D accelleration on. Also when I enter fullscreen mode, the desktop is still only the size of the window it was in... Is there anyway to stretch it/increase the resolution?

While the virutal machine is focused, press the right Ctrl key (the default "host key", if you changed that in Virtualbox press your chosen host key instead) + D to put a virtual disc into the virtual machine that has the "Virtualbox Guest Additions" on it. In the virtual machine, open the virtual optical drive and install the Virtualbox Guest Additions on the virtual machine, then reboot the virtual machine.
